(ANDERSON, SC)—For the first time ever, Techtronic Industries Power Equipment introduces a full crank engine to their RYOBI line of gas string trimmers. Consumers can expect a more powerful, reliable performance from the new RYOBI 2-Cycle Full Crank String Trimmers; including a straight shaft trimmer, curved shaft trimmer and power head, making yard work less daunting. All of the new trimmers are equipped with an engine that lasts 2x longer than the previous model, provides easier starting and boasts attachment capabilities.
Each string trimmer and power head features a powerful 25cc full crank shaft engine composed of a forged steel alloy connecting rod for added durability. The professional-style 2-Cycle engine allows DIY consumers to trim thicker weeds and grass without compromising power. Thanks to the dual counter weights on the new full crank engines, the trimmers are more balanced, producing less vibration.
“Customers look for a powerful and reliable engine without sacrificing versatility and ease. This new line of RYOBI 2-Cycle trimmers delivers all of this and more. We’re bringing the same disruptive innovation to gas products as we did with the RYOBI 2-Cycle Backpack Blower,” says Lee Sowell, president of the outdoor division of Techtronic Industries Power Equipment.
In addition to a more durable engine, the new line of 2-Cycle trimmers features a best-in-class consumer-friendly string head. The REEL-EASY™ string head simplifies changing line. When the line runs out, users can simply thread the trimmer line, twist the head, and resume trimming. These trimmers are also equipped with a Zip Start™ Carburetor, allowing for easier, more reliable starting. The trimmers accept Expand-It™ branded attachments as well as other universal brand attachments to save time, money and storage space. Yard enthusiasts can quickly change from a straight shaft string trimmer to a tiller, pole saw, or a blower; all while using the same 2-Cycle full crankshaft power head.
