VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The STIHL MSE 170 C-BQ 1,500-watt electric chain saw delivers the power and durability a user needs for tasks around the home and even indoors. With a powerhead weight of just under 8.5 pounds, it’s light enough for agile cutting work and strong enough for trimming and cutting firewood.
“The compact size and weight of the MSE 170 C-BQ makes for easy use,” said Kent Hall, senior product manager for STIHL Inc. “No seasonal engine maintenance simplifies it even more.”
The MSE 170 C-BQ will also save users money on fuel. This electric chain saw needs no gasoline and has no exhaust emissions, so there won’t be any mixing oil and gas or fuel-related engine problems. Just plug it in and put it to work.
A wide trigger switch and the toolless Quick Chain Adjuster make for easy operation. Users won’t need tools to tighten, loosen or replace the saw chain. There’s even a coast-down feature which quickly stops the rotating chain when the trigger is released. The MSE 170 C-BQ can be outfitted with guide bars from 12 to 16 inches.
