Homeowners now have another space-saving mower option with the new Toro® rear-wheel drive Personal Pace® Recycler® mower with SmartStow®. The innovative design combines rear high wheels with the patented Personal Pace self-propel system and exclusive Mow ‘N’ Stow™ engine technology by Briggs & Stratton®. The Recycler with SmartStow can be stored upright without concerns over leaking gas or oil, and provides easier access to clean under the deck and service the blade.
The new mower is the only model in Toro’s Personal Pace product line with self-propelled rear high wheels, which provide additional maneuverability and control on uneven terrain. As an added benefit, the 11-inch rear wheels combine with a uniquely designed floor stand to make it easier to store the machine in the upright position.
Other features include the Personal Pace self-propel system, which automatically senses and adapts to the operator’s walking speed. The handle height also adjusts to accommodate a wider range of users for greater comfort.
In addition, the Mow ‘N’ Stow engine features improved seals and gaskets, a unique fuel tank design, and a “no-weep” carburetor. This design is what allows the mower to be stored upright, reducing the storage footprint of the mower by up to 70%*. The mower stores in three easy steps – just fold the handle, lock it in place, and lift the mower into the vertical position.
“With our newest design, we’re giving customers a new choice that fills an unmet need,” explains Wade Tollison, senior marketing manager at The Toro Company. “It delivers the same desirable storage footprint, dependability and exceptional after-cut appearance of our original SmartStow model, along with Personal Pace self-propelled rear high wheels for exceptional ease of use.”
The new mower also features a 22-inch deck with Recycler mowing technology and side-discharge capabilities. Recycler mowers cut and recut the grass into fine mulch, then force the clippings deep into the turf to promote a lush, healthy lawn.
This machine is powered by a Briggs & Stratton engine with 7.25 ft-lb of gross torque** and is backed by Toro’s three-year Guaranteed-to-Start promise: If the mower doesn’t start on one or two pulls, Toro will fix it for free. It also comes with a two-year full coverage warranty (under normal use and maintenance). See retailers for full warranty details.
